I still remember the moment Brian and Meredith asked me to photograph their wedding day.
Brian is an incredibly talented portrait artist and photographer here in St. Pete, so when he called and asked me to swing by his studio one evening, I immediately grabbed a good bottle of bourbon and headed downtown. If you’ve ever been to his space, you know it’s one of those spots that just feels inspiring the second you walk in.
We poured a drink… then somehow one turned into six. A lot of laughs were shared, stories were told, and by the end of the night that bottle didn’t stand a chance. Somewhere between the bourbon and the conversation, Brian asked me to photograph their wedding day. I was genuinely honored… and if I’m being real, maybe just a little intimidated knowing how talented he is behind a camera himself.
Meredith and Brian chose the beautiful Duncan McClellan Gallery for their wedding day, and it honestly fit them perfectly. The gardens, the artwork, the intimate atmosphere… every part of it felt thoughtful and full of character.
Their day was filled with the kind of moments photographers dream about capturing. Big hugs, nonstop laughter, happy tears, and that effortless kind of love that just feels natural. Nothing felt forced. Everything flowed so seamlessly, just like their relationship.
When one of your friends gets married, you want the absolute best for them. And watching these two together, you can tell they truly found their person. Being trusted to document that kind of love story is something I’ll never take for granted.
