When Jillian reached out to me to photograph her wedding, I was truly overjoyed. I have known the bride for almost 20 years. Our friendship dates back to when we both worked together in Florida. I had moved from Perth, Australia to St Pete, Florida not knowing a soul. Jill was always so kind and welcomed me into the crew without hesitation. We became great friends through the service industry and made some life long friends at the Outback steakhouse at Lighthouse point. Fast forward in time, Jill ended up on the West coast in Cali, where she met her now husband, Matt. They are truly a great couple to be around and I feel completely honored to have been a part of their wedding day. Not only was this my first California wedding, but a lifelong friend’s big day. These are always so special to me. I take so much pride in going the extra mile for my clients, even more so for couples I know on a personal level!
Jill and Matt decided on a beautiful wedding venue called the Eureka Building in Irvine, California. It is right in the heart of the industrial side of town, but the surrounding area is filled with tons of colorful purple and yellow wildflowers. The florals fit right in with the wedding theme so it worked out perfectly for some exciting and innovative portraits of the couple and their bridal party.
It is always so much fun for me to explore new venues outside of Florida. I’ve always had the belief that creativity is sparked by the unknown. Thank you Jill and Matt for trusting me to fly clear across the country to photograph your beautiful and fun filled wedding. The unending laughter is something I will never forget.
I wish you both happiness always accompanied by a lifelong supply of Bud lights, Watermelon craft cocktails, and amazing Cali Churros…and maybe the occasional goldschlagger to remember the good times.
We are SO excited about the photos. Everyone at our wedding raved about Jonathan and the preview he gave us at the reception was beyond awesome!– Jill & Matt
