Imagine getting a call from another true artist who currently writes and photographs for Rolling Stone magazine…I was stoked!!! The groom Jack and his bride Kara were such a fun couple to be around. I loved that they both knew the craft of photography and recognized how art is such an important piece of wedding day success. Their wedding was a perfect combination of St pete palm trees, greenery, and unique art inside the Museum of Fine Arts in St Petersburg.

We started the day getting ready at the Birchwood Hotel and made our way to Gizella Kopsick Arboretum just on the other side of Vinoy Park for an awesome first look location.  The natural palm trees surrounded the couple in an epic setting. Jack was gracious enough to bring one of his film cameras and actually took a few shots of his lovely bride Kara during a quick bridal portrait session in the park.  I even stole a few photos with Jack’s film camera of the couple together. We had a great time messing with settings and making sure the moments were perfection.

We then made our way to the Museum where the Florida Theme continued. Nancy Cotto Events set up the the decor beautifully with oranges and green palms throughout the museum.  The courtyard garden was the ideal location for a sunset ceremony. The string lights lit the couple with a romantic glow as their close friends and family watched the beautiful nuptials unfold. I loved that we were able to use the art inside the museum as well as the epic architecture on the outskirts. It truly is one of my favorite venues to capture a wedding day in the St Petersburg area.

Dancing the night away with this couple and all of their friends was the ideal way to conclude this fun filled wedding day. Dj James King from Grant Hemond and Associates rocked the dance floor and kept everyone jamming all night long.  Such a fun group of humans! I hope you enjoy Jack and Kara’s wedding day as much as I did. These portraits are some I will remember forever! I would go back and capture this day over and over again if I could.

We didn't have to worry at all knowing Jonathan was in charge of capturing our big day. The photos are incredible and so much more fun than we ever thought possible.
